Working days and hours: 4days a week – Tuesday to Friday (20h/week) with some flexibility

This is a hands-on position requiring excellent housekeeping skills, confidence with laundry and wardrobe care, and the ability to prepare fresh, healthy
meals. The ideal candidate is proactive, organised and comfortable maintaining high-end finishes and furnishings.
You will join a warm, friendly household team that includes a part-time cleaner, gardener and full-time nanny.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Home Care
- Maintain the home to an exceptional standard of cleanliness and organisation.
- Carry out daily light cleaning (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, wiping and tidying).
- Weekly deep clean is not required (handled by the existing cleaner).
- Ensure the house is kept tidy, organised and child-safe at all times.
- Care for high-end furnishings, surfaces and materials (marble, fine woods, artwork, decorative items).
- Display strong awareness when working around valuable furniture and art, taking every precaution to protect and preserve items.
- Change beds and manage bedroom linens.
- Rubbish and recycling management.
- Resetting high-traffic areas (dishwashers, utility room, bins, kitchen surfaces, etc.).
- Periodic deep organisational tasks: cleaning cupboards, wardrobes, drawers, curtains, blinds.
- Oversee contractors, workmen, and occasional visitors.
- Watering houseplants
- Reporting any household issues.
Laundry & Wardrobe Management
- Full laundry management including washing, ironing, steaming and hand-washing delicate fabrics.
- Expertise in caring for fine linens and speciality fabrics (silk, cashmere, wool).
- Maintain an organised laundry room.
- Seasonal wardrobe changeovers, wardrobe organisation, and support with packing/unpacking for travel.
- Identifying and pre-treating stains.
Cooking & Kitchen Support
- Prepare fresh, simple, healthy meals (breakfast/lunch and occasional dinner) for two adults.
- Assist with dinner preparation when guests are present (rare).
- Lay and set the table for meals where required.
- Shop for fresh, high-quality ingredients and manage online food orders.
- Maintain impeccable food hygiene standards and ensure kitchen is tidy and reset after use.

Cook using family recipes when preferred.Note: the nanny is responsible for food preparation for the baby.
General Household Support
- Manage household supplies (toiletries, eco-friendly cleaning products, flowers, food staples).
- Assist with ad hoc errands and local shopping.
- Receive deliveries
- Monitor and manage home systems including smart heating, security cameras, and modern kitchen appliances.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the household.

Requirements
- Legal right to work in the UK (UK Passport or Pre-Settled/Settled Status).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a private HNW or UHNW residence.
- English speaker.
- Strong knowledge of caring for high-end materials (marble, wood, fine fabrics, antiques).
- Confident with home technology (heating controls, security systems, smart appliances).

- Up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- High standards, positive attitude and a hands-on, can-do approach.
